Watching a storm

Today I was taking a mini break from studies, and I went to sit on our backyard porch. I heard a tiny rumble in the distance which I thought might be thunder, so I basically sat outside watching the sky which started off pretty blue and ordinary, and humming 'Dreams' by the Cranberries, that 90s song, cos noone was around to hear my offtune hums haha. 106.5 for the win :)

It took 15 minutes for these massive grey clotted clouds to come rolling in, and then it started raining. I also saw a dragon shaped cloud! 

But I thought it was pretty cool. Also regretting the oreos I just ate. Sigh...

Fries and Ends

I think it shows how much I enjoy assignments when I start wasting time by blogging...sigh. But more doses of random thoughts..

Being at uni has made me realise how damn good having friends is...especially when you're still settling in with everything and meeting new people. But it feels nice to see familiar faces, even if the people who own those faces will sometimes eat your salad that is swimming in gross Thai dressing (actually, no complaints there) or strangle you until you pass out. Yes, let's all unite in the warm fuzzy glow that has risen up inside us...like heartburn, without the acid reflux sensation. 

I'm really hoping I can make some more real friends here though, partly due to this iffy overlapping timetable, partly due to the fact that I just need more friends HAHA. It's weird, but I think these things are important to really getting to know a person, i.e. seeing them: 
- Eat food (proves they're human) 
- Sleep (also proves they're human) 
- Cry
- Laugh
- Genuinely smile 
- Act like a stupidhead. Stooooopid
- Annoy the hell out of you sometimes (again, proof of their humanity). 

Sigh...fwends. Friends! Mates. Buddies! Wow..time to actually do some work. Urghhhhh.....

PRIVATE PARTIES

Not sure why, but currently having my own private party at my laptop - party of one person that is. Listening to music :D and it's extremely likely that I look v stupid dancing and silently mouthing the words of songs...

But yes. I think I just needed a small break from making notes and omg...draft portfolio for med. Urgh. 

You're just like sunlight! :) 

Note: The party lasted about 10 minutes. But boy did I procrastinate and dance awesomely at the same time (Y) 

BIOLOGY IN CONTEXT...yeahhhh

Actually realising how awesome high school was. And yes, I am still feeling a little nostalgic! I'm lame, I know :) 

It's extremely random, but I'm just thinking about this textbook called Biology in Context/(Focus)? lol, don't even remember the name anymore. Anyway it was the most awesome textbook for bio ever, particularly as my biology teacher, in essence, was kinda ... -_- well you know. It may have also been something to do with the fact that Annie and I also did a lot of stupid things in front of him during class, i.e. drawing eyes on pink sticky notes and sticking them to my glasses. Good times! Yeah well that textbook pretty much was my teacher for bio. 


Wishing right now I could have a textbook that explained everything about people and life in general. I'm blogging about textbooks but it's true haha. I guess the scariness/excitement of not knowing is half the fun, though. Human beings are complex things! Both anatomically and psychologically (Y)..oh man this is reminding me, I have to update my anatomy notes. ARGHHH slkjflkjsa :PPP 


Holy macaroni...times flies..

Side note: I tried dipping Oreos in milk and eating them like they do in the ads. They taste pretty darn good! Will keep note of this in the future.

oh dear

Ah yes, dear site, I have neglected you once more. But not without reason! Actually so much has happened since my last post...600000 things really. Sigh :( :) But to be brief...


MEDCAMP = new people who I may or may not see again 
+ awesome toga! seriously I have a new fetish for making cool drapey togas...tempted to wear one out for a future formal event 
+ some people getting way drunk and dancing in an abandoned bus, dubbed the 'PARTY BUS' 
+ being stupid haha 
+ passing out, NOT because I had consumed any amounts of alcohol at all but because SOMEONE decided to demonstrate the effect of blocking a certain artery in my neck with his arm, hahaha

etc etc. Pretty good times, all in all. And a lot of things are happening now :P

I'm also starting to realise exactly how extremely sheltered NSG was haha...oh dear...

Also missing my friends a bit, partly cos my timetable is a bit iffy and is deciding to overlap a lot of break times with their lectures lol. 

This post is a bit useless, but I'll put it up anyway :) 

HELLOOO

Wow! I have neglected this place a bit. But yes! Life is still going on, meeting new people, eating purple grapes, etc etc. Actually a lot of stuff has happened since last month.. 

So I've just completed my first week of uni and boy oh boy..still can't believe i'm in uni. still can't believe i'm doing this course! and while I am a naturally awkward person sometimes and jane and i have this kinda sad joke that we'll probably be sitting together in hospital 7 years later and eating sandwiches together, I have met a lot of people! If only I were better at remembering names :( 

Eating sandwiches alone...such is life.

But yeah I met quite a few international students from Malaysia, Turkey n Singapore so far. They're pretty cool people. Also some have been in the army which is kinda radical...wowie. Also met old school ppl, random people, really tall and sporty people, people of all shapes and sizes. It's been a strange but slightly cool experience. So many people! I'm still coming to terms with it all. 


Also.. medcamp is in 5 days! Don't know what to expect. I hope I make some friends haha. Eek :0 

Side note, also got two assignments. :( So I'm off to try and make some progress...
